The Waterloo & City line is a short underground railway line in London, which was formally opened on 11 July 1898. It has only two stations, Waterloo and Bank (formerly called “City”, as it is within the City of London). Between its stations, the line passes under the River Thames.

I just love whacky stuff like that! By the way Bank must be London’s most complex and confusing Tube Stations.

Bank and Monument are interlinked stations, officially one station known operationally as the “Bank-Monument complex”, although the separate names are used on station entrances, platforms and the tube map. The complex spans the length of King William Street in the City of London. Together they form the eighth busiest station on the network, being served by five London Underground lines and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) (Wikipedia).

Don’t arrange to meet a date at Bank, you’ll never find each other!
