Herbert Polecat was “born” sometime in late 1972 when two students sought out stupid nicknames, I became Herbert Polecat and Alan Cartwright became Ken Shabby. When I moved into a terraced house I naturally named it “Polecat Retreat” with a nice hand-painted sign. A feature of my room was a motorbike with no tank, and a statue of Bhudda. I recently visited “Polecat Retreat” fter some 30 years and the sign has disappeared, though I am assured it remained some years.
This blog is really meant to be my relaxed blog where I can write about anything I fancy and will therefore be a Cornucopia of Serendipidy!!
